About Transfile

Fast, secure, and decentralized file sharing directly between devices.

P2P Encryption

Data travels directly from your device to the recipient. No cloud storage, no middleman, and no logs.

No Size Limits

Since we don’t store your files, you can transfer large documents or videos without worrying about server quotas.

WebRTC Powered

Built on industry-standard WebRTC technology, ensuring high-speed connections even on restricted networks.

How it works: Transfile uses a signaling server only to establish the initial handshake. Once the “Connection ID” is verified, your files are streamed byte-by-byte using encrypted data channels directly in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about Transfile P2P technology.

Is Transfile safe and private?

Yes, absolutely. Transfile uses WebRTC P2P (Peer-to-Peer) technology. This means your files are streamed directly between browsers. They are never uploaded to any server, and the connection is protected by end-to-end encryption.

Is there a file size limit?

There are no artificial file size limits. Since the data is streamed directly from your storage to the recipient, you can send 1GB, 10GB, or even 100GB files as long as both devices stay connected and have enough browser memory/disk space.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Transfile is designed for speed and anonymity. You get a Device ID instantly upon opening the site, and you can start transferring files without providing an email or password.

Why is the transfer progress stuck?

P2P transfers require both devices to remain active. If the progress stops, ensure that neither device has entered sleep mode and that the Transfile tab remains open. If the connection drops, you may need to reconnect using the same IDs.

Does it work on mobile devices?

Yes! Transfile is fully responsive and works on modern mobile browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox). You can easily send files from your PC to your phone or vice versa by sharing the connection link.

Where are the received files saved?

Once the transfer reaches 100%, the browser will automatically trigger a download. Files are typically saved in your device’s “Downloads” folder, unless you have configured your browser to ask for a save location.
